Santa Rosa, California
I know I have not written in a long time, it truly has been a long time. Well, I received my mission call which was an exciting day as it should be. I was anxious to open my call and to see where I would be going. I will admit that I did not want to stay state-side but had a deep feeling in my gut that I was going to stay state-side. Anyways, I opened my call at 7 pm and as I peered onto that yellow creamed letter I found that I was called to the California, Santa Rosa Mission English speaking. I will be entering the MTC on December 14! I at first was really disappointed, I didn't want to stay state-side and I didn't want to go to California. I actually don't like California. But I do want to teach a little lesson before I end this little blog. Is the fact that when you are called to serve no matter where it may be, you must serve to your fullest, begin to pray for every opportunity to love your call and every opportunity to get down on your knees and pray. The Lord knows what is best for us and we must be willing to do what he asks of us to do. It took me a couple of days to understand that it didn't matter where I served as long as I served the Lord and his people. And who knows, there is probably some one in California who needs me and I need them. Anyways, I took the opportunity to look up Santa Rosa, California and I am really in love with California now and so excited to serve there and serve the people there and ultimately serve the Lord.
